Magnet welcomes Daniel Zuczek

Magnet would like to welcome its newest addition, Daniel Zuczek. He will take post as our new Specialised Lighting Engineer. Daniel is a lighting professional who holds a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and has over twenty-five years’ experience in various segments of the architectural lighting industry. He has recently emigrated from the US to join Magnet, bringing with him all his extensive knowledge and experience. PFC Training Seminar at Magnet

Magnet recently hosted a one-day training seminar at our head office in Durban. Led by Eric Solot of Alpha Power, attendees were addressed on a number of issues and developments relating to Power Factor Correction. “We had a very successful seminar, and Eric’s presentation was thoroughly enjoyed by all”, says Magnet’s training Manager Brian Bilton. “We look forward to possibly having Eric present again in the near future”. Plascon solar lighting project

Magnet was recently approached by Plascon to provide an energy efficient solution to their existing lighting signage situated on the top Filing Hall Tower at their South Coast Road site in Mobeni. Magnet proposed a simple but “Green” initiative aimed at re-positioning Plascon as an environmentally conscious company. Magnet explored the possibility of combining solar energy with the latest in LED lighting technology to provide Plascon with an innovative energy efficient solution.
