Tin Tuesday

Magnet recently donated 200 cans of food to St. Monica's Children's Home and St. Martin's Diocesan Home for Children, respectively, as part of the ongoing charity initiative, "Tin Tuesday". Tin Tuesday

Magnet will be embarking on another "Tin Tuesday" charity initiative this year, with several departments choosing a charity to each support. Over the month of June, the Marketing, HR, IT and Training departments joined forces to collect tins in aid of St Monica's Children's Home. Situated on the Bluff, St Monica's' is a home for orphaned and abandoned children. On Friday 28 June, Samantha MacDonald and Nirvana Maharaj went to St Monica's to deliver a donation of 200 canned food items and other goodies for the children. Magnet wins "Highly Commended" Award

This year’s Green Supply Chain Awards took place on Tuesday 13 August at the Sandton Convention Centre. Magnet received a “Highly Commended” Award within the category “Best project between R1 and R10 million” for a Lighting Control System Project at a Unilever DC in Jozi Park. Stephan Allen, Magnet’s Technical Director, spearheaded the project and says “I am most pleased with the recognition we have received in winning the “Highly Commended” Award.
